MNEVMO Memory is local-first. Your recordings and transcripts stay on your Mac. We do not collect them, we do not see them, and we do not send them anywhere. Cloud AI is switched off by default; if you connect a provider yourself, only the text you send for that one feature leaves your Mac, and it goes to the provider you chose, not to us. This website has no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts. The only time we receive anything from you is when you choose to email us.
Nothing automatically. The site does not require an account, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and does not build a profile of you. If you email support@mnevmo.com, we receive the email address you write from and the message you send, and we use them only to reply to you.
Recordings and transcription run on your Mac. There is no mandatory cloud upload for core transcription and search, and your recordings, transcripts, and exports never reach us. Nothing you record or generate is used to train models, shared, or sold.
You decide what to record, when, and with whom. MNEVMO Memory does not start recording on its own, and it does not obtain, verify, or manage consent from the people you record. Recording another person, and getting any consent that requires, is between you and the people in the conversation. Recording laws vary by country and situation, and you are responsible for knowing what applies to you. See our Terms of Use.
The recordings and transcripts you create with MNEVMO Memory are yours. You can delete your content at any time, and you can revoke any permission in System Settings, independently of the app.
Microphone. Required to record you. Nothing is recorded until you start a recording.
Screen Recording. Required only if you record system audio, for example to capture the other side of a call, because that is how macOS makes system audio available to an app. MNEVMO Memory records audio only: no video, screenshots, or screen content is captured or stored. Both permissions can be revoked at any time in System Settings.
This website: none. Fonts are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not hand your IP address to anyone else. We do not use an analytics provider, and there is no advertising or tracking code.
The app: MNEVMO Memory works fully locally by default, and no cloud AI is enabled out of the box. If you choose to connect an external AI provider in Settings (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini), the text you send for that feature is transmitted to that provider and handled under their own privacy policy. You supply your own API key, it is stored in the macOS Keychain, and you can remove it at any time. With no provider connected, nothing is sent anywhere.
The first time you install a speech model, the app downloads it from Hugging Face. Speaker separation downloads its own model the same way, the first time you use it. Only the model file is transferred to your Mac: no recording, transcript, or personal data is sent as part of that download.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site may use minimal functional storage only where needed for the page to work.
We may update this policy as MNEVMO Memory ships. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
