Acceptance of terms

By using mnevmo.com or the MNEVMO Mac apps, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the apps.

What MNEVMO is

MNEVMO builds native, local-first Mac apps. MNEVMO Memory turns audio and video recordings into transcripts and notes on your Mac. MNEVMO Keyboard corrects text typed in the wrong keyboard layout. The apps are distributed through the Apple App Store, and Apple's terms also apply to your download and use.

The software is provided "as is"

MNEVMO, this website, and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Automatic transcription and automatic layout correction can and sometimes will produce mistakes.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use MNEVMO and for the results it produces on your device:

• Recording. You decide what to record, when, and with whom. You are solely responsible for the legality of any recording and for obtaining consent from everyone you record where required. Recording laws vary by country, region, and situation. This responsibility applies every time you record, wherever you are.
• Your content. You are responsible for storing, reviewing, sharing, and deleting your recordings, transcripts, and exports.
• Layout correction. MNEVMO Keyboard may occasionally correct text you did not want changed, or miss a mistake. Reviewing what you send remains your responsibility.

No legal advice

Nothing on this site or in the apps is legal advice. We are a software maker, not a law firm, and we cannot tell you whether a specific recording is lawful in your situation. If you are unsure, consult a qualified legal professional in your jurisdiction before recording.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MNEVMO is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or the apps. This includes, without limitation, any claim, damage, or legal consequence arising from the recording features (such as the legality of a recording, the consent obtained or not obtained, or how recorded content is later used, shared, or disclosed), from errors in transcription or layout correction, or from any loss of data. MNEVMO is provided as a tool; how it is used remains your responsibility.

Indemnification

You agree to hold MNEVMO harmless from any claim brought by a third party that arises from your use of the apps, including your recordings and how you use their output.

Intellectual property

The MNEVMO name, logo, and all site content are the property of MNEVMO (or its founder) unless otherwise noted. You may not use our brand assets without permission.

Acceptable use of this site

You agree not to misuse this site, for example by attempting to disrupt it or scrape it at scale.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the site or the apps after changes means you accept the updated terms.
